The Jacobite Tour 10 - 16 May 2026 Tours by Celtic Travel Holidays Wales

We head to the Highlands of Scotland to a small town called Kingussie. Kingussie is home to Strathspey Train Station which is a popular tourist spot for its views of the beautiful landscape.

A great location for our planned trips and excursions including the Jacobite steam train.

DAY 1: We head to Lockerbie for a 1 night stop over as we head to Kingussie.
DAY 2: After breakfast we head to the Duke of Gordon Hotel for our main stay.
DAY 3: We head to the Jacobite Steam Train for a return train journey from Fort William to Mallaig to see the sights.
DAY 4: Free day to explore.
DAY 5: We travel to the Strathspey Steam Railway for a journey from Aviemore to Broomhill.
DAY 6: We travel to Lockerbie for an overnight stay.
DAY 7: We head for home.

The Duke of Gordon Hotel will be our main stay for this trip and is in the heart of the Cairngorm National Park which is the largest National Park in Great Britain.

The hotel has some beautiful views of the Scottish Countryside. The hotel may look familiar as the BBC Series ‘Monarch of the Glen’ was filmed there from 2000 to 2005.

Rooms are all en-suite and have all modern amenities you would expect including Hairdryer, TV and Wi-Fi.
