FAIR TRADING CHARTER / AGREEMENT FOR CELTIC TRAVEL

Our Fair Trading Charter and holiday information is clearly set out for you the customer to see our, Celtic Travel (Llanidloes) Ltd, responsibilities to you. In turn you the customer has responsibilities to us, Celtic Travel (Llanidloes) Ltd, when a contract is made.

Once you have made a booking and we accept the written confirmation on the terms set out in this brochure. When signing the booking form for your holiday you will sign on behalf of yourself and any other named party on the booking form and will have read, understood and accepted this fair trading charter and the holiday information provided in this brochure.

Your obligation is to pay the price of the holiday and recognise your liabilities if you wish to alter the holiday or make a cancellation. Our responsibility is to provide you with the holiday that you have booked for.

1. BOOKING YOUR HOLIDAY

When making your booking you must complete a booking form accepting, on the behalf of all named parties, the terms in this Fair Trading Charter. On booking you must pay a £50 deposit per person. *The deposit may vary for EU destinations or with holidays that include flights.

2. BALANCE OF PAYMENT

The balance payment is due eight weeks prior to departure and will be stated on your booking form at the time of paying your deposit. We reserve the right to regard the failure of this payment as cancellation. NO reminder card will be sent to you for the balance payment.

3. IF YOU CANCEL YOUR BOOKING

If after our confirmation has been issued and you wish to change to another of our 2024 holidays, we will do our utmost to make the changes for you. We MUST receive written notification before the final balance due date of the original departure date.

This must be accompanied by a payment of £8.00 per person to cover any administration costs.

You may wish to transfer the booking to another person provided that they satisfy all the conditions applicable to the package and inform us in writing within 7 days with your intent to do so. Both you and the person whom you are transferring the booking to are responsible for the payment of outstanding monies and in addition will incur an £8.00 administration fee per passenger to cover the costs incurred.

4. TRAVEL INSURANCE

WE STRONGLY ADVISE YOU TAKE OUT TRAVEL INSURANCE TO COVER YOUR HOLIDAY.

5. SPECIAL REQUESTS

ALL REQUESTS MUST BE MADE AT THE TIME OF BOOKING BUT NO GUARANTEE CAN BE MADE. PLEASE INFORM US OF ANY DIETARY REQUIREMENTS IN ORDER FOR US TO PASS THIS INFORMATION ON TO THE HOTELS.

6. SEAT ALLOCATION

There is a coach plan for each tour, seat numbers may vary depending on size of coach and therefore may be altered. Seat numbers are given on a first come first served basis. Celtic Travel (Llanidloes) Ltd reserves the right to alter a seating plan and/or reallocate seat numbers, this will be avoided so far as possible.

7. LUGGAGE

Each passenger is allowed one suitcase approximately 26 x 8 x 15 and one piece of hand luggage. Whilst we will load your suitcase on to the coach it is the responsibility of each individual passenger to ensure that their luggage is on board the coach on which you are travelling.

Celtic Travel (Llanidloes) Ltd will not accept liability for loss or damage to luggage or personal effects unless it can be established to have been caused by the companies’ negligence. We supply luggage labels for suitcases only, which are issued on full payment of tour balance.

8. ENTERTAINMENT/EXCURSIONS

There may be entertainment provided by some hotels and is at the discretion of the hotel management and may be changed. All excursions printed in the brochure are provisional and subject to change. Excursions may be changed due to unforeseen circumstances or at driver’s discretion.

9. ENTRANCE FEES

Entrance fees are included in the tour price unless otherwise stated. We will state additional fees where possible. When visiting attractions en route and attractions that are optional please allow for additional expenses.

10. SMOKING

We Celtic Travel (Llanidloes) Ltd have a NO SMOKING policy on all our coaches (including all e-cigarettes/vaping).

11. ALTERATION/CANCELLATION OF A TOUR

Celtic Travel (Llanidloes) Ltd reserves the right to alter

i. Any travel arrangements, hotels and resorts.

ii. Cancel any tour or part thereof due to road conditions, insufficient bookings or any other cause beyond their control. If any tour is cancelled by Celtic Travel (Llanidloes) Ltd all monies will be refunded to the named passenger on each booking form, where the company will be exempt from any further liability.

iii. If a tour does not reach a required minimum passenger limit, Celtic Travel (Llanidloes) Ltd reserves the right to cancel the tour. You will be advised no later than 14 days prior to the departure date.

iiii. All bookings are accepted on the express condition that Celtic Travel (Llanidloes) Ltd shall not be liable for any loss or delay which may be occasioned by the breakdown or any vehicle or failure to carry out any part of tour as advised.

12. COACHES

We endeavour to use our own coaches for our holidays, however we reserve the right to subcontract vehicles and drivers from other coach operators should the need arise. Similarly, we cannot guarantee that all on board facilities will be fully operational, however we will always endeavour to correct any problem as quickly as possible.

13. BROCHURE DESCRIPTION

All information about each tour, hotel and resort is correct at the time of going to press. However, as we prepare the brochure and reserve hotels more than 12 months in advance, there may be some occasions where a change has had to be made to the advertised facility of a hotel, resort or tour and excursion.

14. CUSTOMER CARE

Naturally we hope you do not have a complaint regarding your holiday but should anything not be to your satisfaction it must be reported immediately to our driver to enable him/her to rectify the problem if possible.

If the matter cannot be rectified locally then you should inform us in writing within 7 days of your return so that we can investigate the matter. We plan all our tours to the last detail but we cannot be responsible for wars, strikes, mechanical breakdowns, accidents, traffic delays or acts of God. Celtic Travel (Llanidloes) Ltd does not accept liability in respect of any injury, accident, loss, deviation or delay, inconvenience or loss to any person, their baggage or money unless caused by the proven negligence of the company or its staff.

15. IRELAND EXCHANGE RATE

The price for the Irish holidays are NOT guaranteed against alterations as a result of currency fluctuations. The tour price will be recalculated on the exchange rate ruling at the time that the holiday balance is due, this will not be earlier that 8 weeks and no later than 4 weeks to prior to the date of departure. Accordingly the eventual price may be higher or lower than the price indicated in the brochure.

16. HEALTH AND SAFETY ON HOLIDAY

During the journey we will provide comfort stops as frequently as possible where you are encouraged to get off the coach and walk around.

17. PASSENGER BEHAVIOUR

We want all passengers to have a happy and carefree holiday. However, you must remember you are responsible for your own behaviour and the affect it may have on others. The coach driver has the right to refuse to carry you or a member of your party if he/she feels the behaviour is abusive or disruptive in any way.

18. PETS

We do not allow pets to be taken on our coaches. Registered guide dogs will normally be accommodated in the UK but not on Ireland tours.

19. PICK UP POINTS

You are responsible for making sure you are at the correct pick up point at the correct time. You must ensure you have the correct documents and we cannot be liable for any loss or expense suffered by you or a member of your party because of lateness or incorrect documentation/passport. If you are a British citizen travelling outside the UK you must have a full UK valid passport for a minimum of 6 months after your scheduled date of return.

20. SPECIAL NEEDS

Our coaches do NOT have speciality fitting, fixtures or lifts, therefore, we ask that you are able to board and disembark the coaches safely and unaided. For you information, our drivers are not insured to physically assist passenger board and disembark our coaches (including our feeder buses), therefore any help offered by the driver is therefore accepted at your own risk.

Please notify us before you book, if you or a member of your party suffer with a disability. We want you to enjoy your holiday so if you need assistance of special facilities in the hotel please let us know in advance.

We will help you as much as we can. We will accept lightweight fold up scooters/wheelchairs onto our coaches, which will be stowed in the luggage hold of our coaches.

We regret we will not be able to accept scooters/wheelchairs which are over 15kg in weight. We must be advised at the time of booking that you will require to take a wheelchair or any other aid.

21. CONSUMER AWARE:

Your booking is insured by IPP Limited and its Panel of Insurers. This insurance is only valid for passengers who book and pay directly with/to Celtic Travel Holidays Ltd. For further information see www.ipplondon.co.uk.
